We will continually work to engage our students, faculty and staff in the integration, creation and dissemination of knowledge through teamwork, personalized instruction, research and outreach.We will measure our success by the success of our students and by the growth in the Department. The civil Engineering program SMSK through its faculty, staff,students and constituents works together to acquire, generate, share and use knowledge in the different fields of Civil Engineering to make the world a better place to live
The Civil Engineering program recruits, and graduates individuals with high professional and ethical standards to work in Govt and Pvt organizations. The faculty is committed to increasing and improving the quality of our students.
Workshops, seminars, paper presentation programmes at national level are organized frequently to keep the students engaged in the academic pursuits. We believe in the theory academic ambience on the campus in addition to the provision of infrastructural and other amenities, plays a vital role and we strive hand to maintain that environment in the campus.
History:
The Department of Civil Engineering came into the existence in the year 2011 since the inception of the collage, Affiliated to State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET) to offer the Polytechnic course with an annual intake of 120 students.The department is having the following laboratories.

The department has got significant place in the college. It has been conducting activities such as mini projects, games and sports, seminars etc. The department periodically organizes State level conferences, seminars, workshops and guest lectures for the benefit of both student and faculty. Ont of the strength of the Department is the alumni, who are occupying top positions in the various organizations all over the world, The primary objective of the department is to bring out competent Civil Engineers and also mould the overall personality of the student.

- Organized one day Industrial tour for all Civil Engineering students on Technical tour in Nagarjuna sagar substation in 2012.
